Idle Hands Arcade is a small collection of free browser games built for the moments when you've got five minutes and nothing to do with them — a bus stop, a slow afternoon, the gap before a meeting starts. No sign-ups, no app downloads, no accounts to manage. Pick a game and it's already loaded.

Right now there are four: a word scramble with a rotating word bank so you won't see the same puzzle twice in a row, a classic 9×9 sudoku with three difficulty levels, a 15-tile sliding puzzle, and local two-player checkers. Each one tracks your score right in the browser, so your best runs are still there next time you come back.

Why no sign-up?

Because the games are the point, not the account. Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing to lose if you close the tab.

Which game should I play?

If you've only got a minute or two, word scramble or sliding puzzle are fastest. Sudoku rewards a longer sit. Checkers needs a second player next to you.

Is it really free?

Yes — no paywalls, no premium tier, no ads blocking the games themselves.

Idle Hands Arcade — built for killing five spare minutes.
