How to play: Red moves first. Tap a piece, then tap a diagonal square to move it, or jump over an opponent's piece to capture it. Reach the far row to crown a king, which can then move diagonally in either direction.

Checkers is one of the oldest board games still widely played today, with roots going back centuries before chess took its modern form. Its lasting appeal comes from a rare mix: the rules take a minute to learn, but real strategy takes years to master. This version keeps things simple and local — no accounts, just two people and one board.
